Diffuse alopecia is not only limited to a loss of hair at certain points of the scalp, but hair loss occurs throughout the head distributed form. This form of alopecia has a different appearance than the characteristic of androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata. The diffuse alopecia has several causes, ranging from diseases, through poor diet and stress to hormonal changes and side effects of some medications.
